Start with dry hands and a dry face. The balm becomes an oil as you massage, giving you time to work around the cheeks, forehead and jaw. Adding water is a separate step: massage again as the texture turns milky, then rinse thoroughly.

Make the rinse part of the routine

1. Use a clean, dry spatula to take a small amount from the jar.
